Who is responsible

This website

• No cookies are set and nothing is stored on your device.
• Visits are measured with Umami Cloud, a cookieless analytics service. It counts page views, clicks on the download and buy buttons, country, browser type and the referring site or ad campaign. It does not build profiles or track you across other sites. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
• If you arrive from an ad, the campaign name in the link is passed to the checkout, so we can tell which ads lead to sales.
• The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and request data to deliver the pages and keep them secure.
• Fonts are served from this site. When you open the checkout, scripts from Lemon Squeezy are loaded.

Purchases

Payment is handled by Lemon Squeezy (Link, LLC, formerly Lemon Squeezy LLC), which acts as merchant of record. It collects your payment details, billing address and tax information under its own privacy policy and is responsible for that data. We receive your name, email address, country, order details and license key, to deliver the license, give support and meet our accounting duties (art. 6(1)(b) and (c)). Accounting records are kept for five years as Danish law requires.

The app

• Your video and audio stay on your Mac. They are read in place and never uploaded by us.
• Transcription runs on your device. On first launch the app downloads the speech model, so the hosting provider of that download sees your IP address.
• The app has no usage tracking or telemetry.
• If you choose API mode, transcript text (and your questions about the footage) is sent to Anthropic, using your own API key, under your agreement with Anthropic. Your key is kept in your macOS Keychain. Local mode sends nothing anywhere.
• License activation and the weekly license check contact Lemon Squeezy's license service with your license key and a random label such as "Mac-3f9a" (not your computer's name). The trial start date is stored on your Mac only.

Where data goes

Cloudflare, Umami and Lemon Squeezy are based in or use servers in the United States. Transfers rely on the safeguards these providers offer under EU data protection law, such as standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy of your data, and object to processing based on our legitimate interest, by writing to hello@fcpx-headstart.com. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.dk) or your local authority.
